the First mention of the town of Samara Prince refers to 1582 year, the same year is considered the founding date of the city. In 1637 (which previously was considered the founding date of the city) this place was founded the village of Samarovo (Samarovsky Yam), the name given by the name of Prince Samara. In 1931 year 5 km from Samarovo began the construction of the village Ostyako-Vogulsk, the name given to the name Ostyako-Vogulsky national district, the center of which he became. In 1940 was Khanty-Mansiysk, as Ostyaks were called the hunt, and Voguls – Mansi. In 1950s year, the village Samarovo and the village Khanty-Mansiysk were merged into the city Khanty-Mansiysk.
